Frequently asked questions

What type of maintenance is required?

We recommend applying a good quality water sealant to the surface of the Terraflo once a year.

Is the motor included?

No, the motor is sold separately. We recommend a 55 lb electric motor.

Can I leave it in the water for the winter?

If you are on a calm lake, your Terraflo can stay in the water all winter. We also recommend that you pull it to shore and let it rest on your property. Don't forget to tie it to something with a rope.

What materials are used?

Terraflo boat docks are designed with high-quality materials that preserve marine life. Our pine wood from Quebec forests is treated to be in harmony with the water, while our cedar wood is Western Red Cedar. Our floating caissons are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) filled with expanded polystyrene (EPS). All our accessories are made of marine-grade aluminum or stainless steel.

How many people can navigate a Terraflo?

We suggest up to 8 people or 3500 pounds on the Terraflo.

Can I pick up the Terraflo
myself?

Some customers pick up their Terraflo at our Lachine warehouse. To do so, they need a trailer at least 8 feet wide and 16 feet long.

What if my lake is very difficult to access and a truck can't get through?

We recommend that you try to find a safe place on your property or a neighbour/friend's property to back up the Terraflo directly into the water. In the event that access is too limited, we offer on-site installations for an additional fee.
