What type of maintenance is required?
Maintenance depends on the type of wood you choose. Here are some recommendations to ensure the durability and premium appearance of your Terraflo dock pontoon:
Treated wood (Quebec)
Apply an eco-friendly water-based sealer once a year or every two years, ideally in spring (~1h). See our recommended brands on the blog right here.
This simple application protects against humidity and UV rays, and preserves the warm aesthetics of the wood.
Western red cedar (natural)
Maintenance-free.
Cedar ages naturally and is weather-resistant.
Butternut finish
Reapply oil tincture every 3 to 5 years.
Please note: No winterization is required for our dock pontoons. Our materials are designed to remain outdoors year-round.
Is the motor included?
The motor is not included with your Terraflo. Here are our recommendations according to use:
Electrical option
Fishing motor with minimum 55 lbs thrust.
We highly recommend the Parsun 3HP (reliable, quiet, high-performance).

Gasoline option
Up to 9.9 HP
Requires a long foot.

Can I leave my Terraflo in the water during the winter?
Yes, you can leave your Terraflo in the water all year round.
Alternatively, you can simply pull it onto your land using our front hooks.

What materials are used?

100% natural Western Red Cedar, renowned for its longevity and elegance.

How many people can board a Terraflo?
A Terraflo can accommodate up to 8 people or a maximum load of 3,500 lb, in compliance with Transport Canada standards.

Can I pick up my Terraflo myself?
Yes, many customers pick up their pontoon directly from our warehouse in Lachine, Montreal.
You will need :
a platform or pontoon trailer 8 feet wide and 16 feet long.
Alternatively, we offer a turnkey delivery service throughout Quebec and Ontario.
What if access to my lake is difficult?
If a truck can't make it to the water, here are your options:
Find an alternative access point
neighbor's land
secondary entrance
municipal or community access
On-site installation service
We can come to you and carry out the installation manually.
Additional charges may apply depending on complexity.
